Motherhood is a joy indescribable, a bond inseparable, that carries a weight unimaginable that you bear up no matter the cost. It is a consuming love like the heat of the sun, warming your soul. A relationship rift is like a torture to your heart, that you wade through so carefully with the greatest of hope. There is no perfect parent, no perfect child. Only individuals making their way, doing their best, together.
My name is Vickie Lynn Stoops Koth Major. I have had many joys and trials throughout my life, but overall, I am blessed. I have had a big family. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, children, and two grandchildren.
I have realized in my later years that I am most likely an undiagnosed high-functioning autistic, which is why I never understood the communication disconnect of some people in my professional life. I take things quite literally and never knew other people do not. To me it was just proper language skills.
Now I have to take more time thinking things through to understand what someone else is thinking. My mind also works quickly; I have trouble moving slowly. I also did not realize that others are not that way – I have to purposely go slower.
It is often a challenge and I now prefer to work alone as I often feel misunderstood. Looking back I have realized individuals that I thought were friends, were not. There was a lot of hurtful betrayal to move on from.

Now as I move into my senior years, I am working on learning to move at a slower pace, and enjoy my young grandson and grown children. After a busy executive career, it has taken some time to adjust to slowing down a bit. I work as a General Manager at a Commercial Real Estate Company.
I am hoping to find a small friend group near me as I know I need to get out once in a while, maybe participate in a local choir, and keep active.
I am hoping to sell some of my Abstract Art paintings as I have accumulated too many! I love humor and to leave a few other writings on my page. I hope you find a few things here to add to your day and leave a few things as well! My best to you!
