This is Barnaby Pine. He was a little rescue. We found him sitting alone, skinny, with dried out limbs. He looked to be starving and dehydrated. His days were numbered, for sure. No one wanted him and had passed him over for other healthier, fuller looking trees in the group. I just couldn’t leave him behind. I just knew he had something special. I just knew he could make it. We bought him, along with a few others, and took him home. We planted him along with the rest, but kept him up closer to the house so perhaps the deer would leave him alone, since he was the weakest of the group, and gave him a little extra fertilizer. His first days, he looked awfully sad. But now look at him; he is not skinny anymore! He is filled out, green and beautiful. He might be a little smaller than the rest, but he is a survivor!
